What a year it has been for our Central Alberta Sports Club 12U Travel Team!

For many of these athletes, this season was their very first taste of travel club volleyball—complete with long road trips, big fieldhouses, and all the nerves that come with stepping onto the provincial stage.

Not only did they handle the pressure like absolute pros, but they finished their incredible run tied for 9th place in all of Alberta at Provincials!

The Heart of the Team: Coach Amber

You cannot talk about the success of this 12U squad without talking about the incredible leader at the helm. Coach Amber has been the absolute heartbeat of this team all season long.

Transitioning into travel volleyball can be daunting for young athletes, but Coach Amber created an environment built on trust, growth, and a whole lot of fun. Her ability to provide unwavering positive reinforcement is exactly why she is so deeply loved by her players and parents alike. Thank you, Amber, for pouring so much heart into these kids!

The Sylvan Lake Wave Rivalry

Every great sports story needs a great rivalry, and our 12U team found their perfect match in our neighbors down the highway: the Sylvan Lake Wave.

Throughout the 2026 club season, CASC and the Wave have been locked in a classic battle of friendly competition. Every time these two teams stepped onto the court against each other, the level of play skyrocketed.

Fittingly, the season ended with both teams tied for 9th place at Volleyball Alberta Provincials.

  • This local rivalry didn’t hold our athletes back—it propelled them forward.
  • It forced them to dig deeper, hustle faster, and perform at a level they didn’t even know they had yet.
  • Huge respect to the Sylvan Lake Wave for pushing us to be our best!
